Using NP Courses Alongside Other Resources

Utilize the NP as your core content, or a bank of resources

NP history courses are designed with a few use cases in mind:

  1. The default use case is comprehensive—the courses provide a full history curriculum that doesn't need any supplementary material. From reading, to writing, to scaffolded approaches to notes and documents, quizzes, flashcards, interdisciplinary credits, and other supplements, the courses are designed to be your core course content
  2. Other use cases might include using the NP content as a grab bag to supplement other study:
    1. you might pull only certain document lessons to enrich what you're studying elsewhere;
    2. you might utilize the NP glossary as a custom encyclopedia to help you fill in gaps as needed;
    3. you might select certain units to study, and other units to skip, based on your own goals, travel, or other resources;
    4. or you might focus on the videos in a certain region or with a certain theme in mind to bring those places to life and enrich your study
    5. There are myriad ways to use the NP as a rich bank of resources to supplement any program of study you're already into. For the best student experience being selective will be key—a few high-value supplements will go further than overwhelming students with more than they can handle
